I am the peace maker in the argument you're having with your mom. I am the synthetic oil keeping your car's engine lubricated. I am the safety cover on your sharp pair of scissors. I am a middle child.

My little metaphor fell apart at the end of that, oops. I'm used to giving up something for everyone to get along. I keep quiet sometimes because I don't want to add to the group's discomfort
